This page explains the criteria by which freestays shows listings and admits applications, and what options the operator, SnapNext GmbH & Co. KG, has with respect to accounts. It describes the state of the code. Whether and how the Platform-to-Business Regulation (P2B) applies is under legal review.
No points system
The platform has no points, levels or scores for creators. There is no automatically calculated ranking of applications. Hotels decide on applications themselves.
How listings are sorted
The public listing page can be filtered and sorted by a selection. The visitor chooses the sort order:
| Sort order | Sequence |
|---|---|
| newest (default) | most recently published listings first |
| spots | most free spots first |
| nights | fewest nights first |
| reach | lowest minimum reach first |
| period | earliest start first |
Where values are equal, the publication date applies. There is no paid placement or preferential treatment of individual hotels in the code.
Who can apply
Before an application is submitted, the platform checks fixed rules and shows the creator which ones are not met. The same check rejects a submission. The rules are:
- The listing is published, its period has not ended and at least one spot is free.
- The desired period lies within the listing's period, and the number of guests does not exceed the maximum.
- If a verified profile is required, the profile must be verified.
- The reach meets the minimum. Only channels that an operator staff member has checked count. Unverified follower numbers count as zero.
- The quality rating meets the minimum value, if the listing requires one. Someone who has no rating yet does not meet a minimum value.
- For the destination region, the brand can set minimum values for reach and quality rating.
Quality rating
The quality rating lies between 1.0 and 5.0. It is the rounded average of the ratings that hotels give at the end of a collaboration (one number, no free text). It is not a points score and is not shown publicly. Whether this step stays permanently is open.
Manually verified channels
Creators enter their channels themselves, with follower count and image evidence. An operator staff member checks the evidence and confirms or rejects the channels. A rejection includes a reason. If the follower count or evidence changes after the review, nothing is verified.
Course of an application
A creator submits the application. The hotel moves it through the stages under review and shortlist, accepts it or rejects it; a rejection needs a reason. The creator can withdraw. Applications can expire. On acceptance, the platform creates the agreement, which the creator confirms. Deliverables, usage rights and dates are then frozen.
What the operator can do
- Verify creators or reject them with a reason.
- Approve, block or archive hotels. A blocked hotel is not visible. Listings go through the status "submitted for approval" before publication.
- Block accounts. A blocked account is redirected and receives no emails.
- Maintain rules for minimum values per destination region and deliverable requirements per follower tier.
A user interface for blocking an account is not evidenced in the code that was read. Administrator decisions are recorded in a history log.
Complaints
Users contact support@freestays.app. In a dispute over an agreement, the creator or the hotel manager can set the status "in clarification". Judicial protection remains unaffected. A formal complaints body with fixed deadlines has not been established.
